The Hawker Hurricane Mk.II B is equipped with the Merlin XX engine, which is more powerful than the Merlin Mk.II/III engine installed in the Mk.I, and the nose is extended about 11.4cm longer than that of the Mk.I; a large radiator is also installed. It was armed with a .302 caliber machine gun with 12 gates; a maximum of two 500-pound bombs could be mounted on the Mk.II B, and it was nicknamed the "Hurribomber" because it was mainly used in ground attacks.
